Decades of Civil Rights progress in pursuit of equal rights & an equitable, multi-cultural society is being systematically reversed in Tennessee at the hands of the current republican-supermajority legislature -- comprised mostly of baby-boomers in their twilight years hellbent on dragging Tennessee back under white supremacist rule. Disregarding the majority of the electorate, namely younger Americans who stand to inherit the fractured social structures these backwoods septuagenarians leave as their shameful swan song they're callously enacting Jim Crow-era policies in an effort to "Make America Great Again". However, the society that they're romanticizing from their childhood never actually existed.

Jim Crow Era tactics are being redeployed in TN under the guise of "SCHOOL CHOICE" & "PARENTS' RIGHTS" to deprive black citizens of constitutional rights and public resources. Such proclamations are coming entirely from white evangelical republicans, whose institutions are primarily led by baby boomers. These folks were school-aged students in the 1960's-70's during public schools integration following the Brown V. Board Supreme Court ruling (1954) despite aggressive resistance from many southern whites.
